Yes you do.

68.

I know, post longggg overdue.

But blah, disappointment is only present when there are expectations, and I had none for this anyway, so...

*awkward transition*

After a bit of pondering I've decided to do something new for once this February. As you know February is a very special month; for one, it has only 28/29 days. And two...

It sounds cool I guess.

*/hashed, incoherent introduction*

Ah whatever, to the point now. If you know me just skip to the part in red.

This year as we enter February I will do an emotional wipe of sorts. In an attempt to make myself a better person I will, as ludicrous as this might sound, drop all grudges I've previously held against anyone and start my negative relationships all over again. I know, even I am not looking forward to this. There are certain people that I really wish I'd never need to talk to again, but I will persevere and do this anyway, because I believe in being nice, kindness and goodwill. Through this, I hope to emerge a better, more sociable and friendly person.

I've started to run out of people to annoy in school. I need more or I may quite possibly be facing the extinction of my ego and charm.

Anyone else wanna try?

Just sounding off a bit now, do not mind.

1. racist (racism)

This gets thrown around a lot today, what with all the world's terrorism issues and various other cases of racial tension and blah blah blah (this is my way of not using etc since I seem to use it far too often, not trying undermine the fact that this is indeed a very big issue).

So inevitably it gets misused. Like this:

Me: *walks past Indian person*
Me: Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! That guy needs a shower!
Person: Racist!

You see, this is not racist, but somehow almost always taken as it because a lot of people nowadays are a bunch of sensitive girls when it comes to anything that even remotely seems to violate their non-existent morals.

Let me explain:

If I see an Indian guy fifty meters down the road and I tell someone,

"That guy needs a shower!"

then fine. It's racist, because I'm stereotyping and all.

BUT!

If this Indian guy walks past me and I say he stinks, it's not racist, it's true. He needs a bath. The fact that he's Indian is irrelevant; it could be a Chinese or Malay guy walking past me and I'd still say that regardless.

It doesn't help that somehow, most of the times the smelly people I encounter are Indians. Me being me, I'll say they stink anyway, but I guess it just seems like I have something against Indian people because I say so many of them stink.

However!

Ask yourself! Is this really my fault? The number of smelly Indians that happen to walk past me is, if you just think about it reeeeeeeeeeally hard, an uncontrollable factor. So there are two possibilities now:

1) A pure coincidence
2) They really do stink

Uh... no comment.

2. retard

The only problem here is when people take offence at you using the word 'retard' to insult someone. Some people find this objectionable because they think you're making fun of the real retarded people (mentally disabled), which is not funny, I agree.

However I think I speak for most if not all of the people that use 'retard' to term a person being particularly stupid/annoying when I say that when I use the word 'retard', I have absolutely no intention of demeaning people with mental disabilities. Lighten the fuck up and think next time before you attack people for their choice of words.

If the above fails, then you're a fucking retard!

3. roar

Since when did this become an interjection? It makes no sense and is annoying. That is all I wish to say.

Person: Damn I failed English today.
Person: roar!
Me: WHY DID YOU ROAR. ARE YOU A FUCKING LION!?
Person: meow...

This post started with a direction and a serious message that I was trying to bring across with the first word, but I kinda got lost and bored halfway, so it turned out like shit.

Oh well.

First week has been interesting. 3/5 is a decent lot of people I'm sure, nice (this is debatable, but I'll be nice in my first week of judgment) mix of people from all the classes. So I guess I'm thankful this will provide my introverted ass with some much needed exposure and social opportunities (although right now it seems like I've run into somewhat of an interacting cul-de-sac; uninterested in making new friends and the like etc.)

Teachers also have been pretty good.

A good forty five minutes or so after the above sentence was written, I went to publish the complete post, only to be met with some Google CAPTCHA image to prove that I was human. It was a toss up between UNHORT and UNHOVT. I took UNHORT but apparently it was UNHOVT. So I click enter only to be greeted by an 'Error 404' page. I go back and above was what was left of the post; a draft saved a long ass time ago.

So yes I am rather frustrated now.

Here's a condensed version anyway of what was written because I really can't be bothered to write that all out again:

- KSK = awesome teacher, although his tendency to bend over backwards a bit is susceptible to exploitation I feel.
- NWD = student favourite as usual. Lively Phy lessons.
- ELC = great lectures during SS. First year under him, fantastic so far.
- Recess comprised mainly of a hunger-fueled rush to the canteen for food with 2/2 '09ers before chilling at the fitness corner (our unspoken but mutually agreed upon rendezvous point every recess since last year!) for the rest of it.
- Work so far comes in a slow stream and easily comprehensible. Looking forward to the mental stress that accompanies a perverse deluge of worksheets and notes later on in the year for the first time!
- New week, looking forward to it!

Fuck Google. I'm going to be searching on Yahoo! now.

64.

Hey guys. Here with the usual NY resolutions (yeah I still believe in them).

This list has gone through some severe revision after seeing the people in my class (*forces a smile*) next year but I have faith it'll all sort itself out.

Not in any order of importance.

1. L1R5 = 6. - 9 in 2008, 8 in 2009. It will be 6 in 2010. I'm starting my decade on a bright note.

2. Certs - You know when they give out those top 3 in the level for x subject certificates? Yeah. I only have one. I want more.

3. Blogging - I have quite enjoyed writing. A good conduit for emotions to flow through. I hope this will still be here next year.

4. NAPFA - Because gold has eluded me for several years.

5. Write - I want to write a lot more. It's interesting.

6. Read - For my bookshelf of unread books grow larger by the week!

7. Photography - DSLRs are cool and I need to inculcate some form of art-siness in me.

And that's all! I know, very cliched kind of post, but oh well, we all need our 'finish lines' to run the race!

Damn. Bad way to end off 2009.

Ah well.

Shall go work on a blog profile!
